We’re Mitch and Alyssa, a sibling duo determined to Keep Nashville Sweet.

Our family has been spinning up fresh cotton candy for three generations!

It all started with our grandparents who toured with the King Reid Carnival as the cotton candy and snow cone vendor throughout the 1960’s. After they passed down their equipment to our father, he made sure to create the same sweet experiences for us. We spent numerous weekends spinning cotton candy for school fundraisers and serving our community at block parties and festivals.

In 2018 we sat down and reflected on how especially sweet our childhood was, but also how we strangely hadn’t had a fresh spun cone in years. “How come there are ice cream shops on every corner, but nowhere to get fresh cotton candy?” we wondered. So we dusted off and started up our grandparent’s machine and that’s how The Nashville Cotton Candy Company was born.

Naturally, we’ve put our generational twist on this sweet treat- we now specialize in organic, dye-free cotton candy. We take pride in our unique flavors that add another layer of excitement to this sweet treat from childhood.

It’s our mission to get a cone of cotton candy into the hands of every Nashville resident and visitor. To us, cotton candy symbolizes the act of living sweetly. When you take a moment out of your day to appreciate something as simple and delicate as spun sugar, you realize that it doesn’t take much to make life a little sweeter.
